Client: C5 Alliance
Sector: Workplace
This eclectic “anti-office” space was inspired by vintage arcade games and cult sci-fi films, not least because “Funland” a 1980’s arcade was a previous occupant of the site. As well as providing a public face for the tech business, the design was to be a statement of intent for the cultural ethos of the company. The attraction and retention of high calibre staff was a key motivator behind creating a distinctive and unique design aesthetic. C5’s recruitment goals were achieved within the first year of relocating to the new office, in less than half the projected timescale. The accommodation provides a welcome area, meeting rooms, a large presentation area, and a noodle bar as well as permanent and touch down work spaces.
